4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Contractor Directory: When you tap "Request a Quote," your name, email, and job description will be shared with the specific contractor you select. You control when and whether this happens. We do not proactively share your contact information with contractors.

5. Affiliate Links & Product Recommendations

Home Care Pro participates in the Amazon Associates Program (Tracking ID: varsitybuilde-20). When we suggest a product — such as an air filter, cleaning supply, or home tool — the link to that product on Amazon may contain our affiliate tracking ID.

If you click a link and make a purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We do not transmit any of your personal information to Amazon as part of this process — only an anonymous click referral is recorded.

Product recommendations are based on your home profile and maintenance tasks. They are not influenced by paid placements from manufacturers or sellers.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and home records for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services to you. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.

Anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., aggregate usage statistics with no identifying information) may be retained indefinitely to help improve the app.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
Encryption of data at rest on our servers
Access controls limiting who can view your data within our organization

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
